MLB unveils holiday uniforms, including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day
Major League Baseball teams are getting even more holiday uniforms this year — including new looks that will celebrate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for the first time, plus the ongoing tradition of Memorial Day and Fourth of July uniforms.

Here’s your first peek at the new jerseys and caps, which were made by Majestic and New Era, respectively. There’s camo for Memorial Day, stars and stripes for Fourth of July, light blue for Father’s Day and pink for Mother’s Day. You can see 70 jerseys and caps in the slideshow above.
MLB will donate its royalties from each of the holiday uniforms to a like-minded charity. Here’s a breakdown of each holiday look and the charity involved.
MOTHER’S DAY (MAY 8)
Continuing the tradition of players wearing pink accessories and swinging pink bats, MLB is going all-in with pink-accented jerseys and caps. The logos are the same, just with a pink remix. Proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen, which strives to cure breast cancer, and Stand Up to Cancer.
MEMORIAL DAY (MAY 30)
Like past Memorial Days, MLB is sticking to the script: Camo, camo and more camo. This year’s look includes a new woodland camouflage design used by the U.S. Marine Corps. The Blue Jays’ uniforms will feature the Canadian Forces CADPAT design. The caps are heavier on the camo than the jerseys, which incorporate camo into common designs. Proceeds will benefit Welcome Back Veterans in the U.S. and the Support Our Troops Fund in Canada.
FATHER’S DAY (JUNE 19)
Dads are getting their due this year. We haven’t seen the same big celebration of dads in the past like we have for moms, but they’re certainly a part of the baseball experience too. As such, these brand new designs include light blue elements added to jerseys and caps that stick to a grey-and-light-blue color scheme league-wide. The caps, while straying from tradition, are certainly good-looking. Proceeds benefit Prostate Cancer Foundation and Stand Up to Cancer.
FOURTH OF JULY
This is the ninth year MLB teams will wear Fouth of July uniforms and the look is familiar: stars and stripes. Each team gets a new-look stars-and-stripes cap with sublimated stars and stripes on the jersey. The Blue Jays cap will feature a maple leaf design and also be worn on Canada Day on July 1. Proceeds benefit Welcome Back Veterans.
As usual, these will be available to the public. No specific release dates have been announced, but look for them in team stores and the MLB.com store a few weeks before each holiday. Again, you can see a lot more in the slideshow above.
