The Cubs now have a space in the clubhouse dedicated to parties
Over the past few years, the Chicago Cubs have undergone massive changes on the field. The franchise lost over 100 games back in 2012, and nearly won 100 last season due to an influx of youngsters. Over that period, the club went from old and boring to young, excellent and exciting.

While the on-field product is fun and youthful, the stadium the team plays in is the polar opposite. Wrigley Field is a hallowed landmark, sure, but many of the amenities within the stadium are old and outdated. Because of that, the team’s owners have worked to make massive upgrades to the park.
One of the biggest changes during the offseason occurred in the team’s clubhouse. The entire area was revamped, and made to look like a nightclub. And while that sounds over-the-top and drastic, that’s not the craziest thing the team added in the offseason.
That title goes to the “party room.” Yes, the Cubs added a designated party room, where the team can celebrate and go wild without the fear of ruining the brand new clubhouse.
Third baseman Kris Bryant said nothing is off limits in this particular space, according to CBS Chicago.
“They got the right flooring in there, and they have drainage in there, too,” Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant said. “They told us we can do whatever we want to it.
“We just all live for that moment in there. We have a lot of fun getting everybody soaked. It’s a lot of fun.”
Some may take issue with the Cubs’ celebratory ways, particularly considering the franchise’s lengthy World Series drought. Installing a party room might be a little presumptuous, no?

Outfielder Jason Heyward disagrees, saying the team won’t take wins for granted.
“We’re not going to win every game,” Heyward said. “But, when we do, we don’t take it for granted.”
The Cubs entered the season as World Series favorites, so it’s definitely possible they’ll get a lot of use out of the party room this season. Considering the young and talented core the front office has put together, a party room actually seems like a pretty great investment right now.
