Ohio State will honor Will Smith at its spring game on Saturday.
Smith, a long-time NFL defensive end, was shot to death late Saturday night in New Orleans in an apparent road rage incident. Smith played his college ball at Ohio State and the Buckeyes will wear a helmet decal in his memory.

A moment of silence will also be held for Smith ahead of Saturday’s game at Ohio Stadium.
Smith played at Ohio State from 2000-2003 and helped the Buckeyes win the 2002 National Championship. A 2003 first-team All-American, Smith finished his OSU career with 22 sacks and 45.5 tackles for loss. He was also the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2003.
