Bartolo Colon delighted fans with over-the-shoulder catch
Bartolo Colon, oh how we’ve missed thee.
The 42-year-old right-hander has been the source of much entertainment — some intentional, some perhaps not so intentional — over the years, which is why we cherish every moment he spends on the field.

That was especially true on Saturday night, as Colon made his much anticipated season debut at Citi Field. And let us just say, he did not disappoint one bit with his performance.
Colon was in top form all the way around, tossing six innings of one-run ball. Though that may not have been enough on the scoreboard, as New York fell 1-0 to the Philadelphia Phillies, he found other ways to please as well, including this graceful over-the-shoulder catch that took fans back to the prime years of Willie Mays’ Hall of Fame career.
Well, maybe that’s a bit of a stretch. But that’s the beautiful thing about Bartolo Colon. He reminds us to dream big and swing for the fences, oversized helmet be damned.
Yes, that also happened on Saturday.
Like we said, Colon was in top form. And this was only his first appearance of the season folks. There’s more where this came from, and we can’t wait to take it all in.
