Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineups: FanDuel MLB picks, strategy for April 7 (early) – Sporting News
Before you set your daily fantasy baseball lineups today, note that I really don’t like this early slate of games. There are major weather issues in just about every game and the majority of good hitters are playing in the later games.
If you must play, though, here is one, universal (cash game and tournament) lineup for the early slate that includes some Yankees, Nationals and Indians, whose games all could be cancelled today. Please check the weather reports and sub out if necessary.

Anyway, here is my optimal FanDuel daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for the early slate on April 7th.
Daily fantasy baseball lineup picks
P Danny Salazar, Indians vs. Red Sox ($9,300). By far the best pitcher on the board and only one that has a very good chance at double digit Ks. Salazar has a .294 wOBA against the Red Sox’s projected lineup and he was 2-0 with a 1.46 ERA in 12.1 IP with 11 Ks & a 0.811 WHIP against the Red Sox last year.
C Buster Posey, Giants vs. Dodgers ($4,000). Posey is a lifetime .329/.387/.564 hitter against LHPs. With so much value out there today I don’t mind paying up for a sure thing behind the plate.

1B Adrian Gonzalez, Dodgers at Giants ($3,400). Already locked in at the plate and has a good matchup against RHP Jake Peavy.
2B Jason Kipnis, Indians vs. Red Sox ($2,900). Mostly a FD option here as price is a little too high over on DK today. Kipnis is a surprisingly good cold-weather hitter; .288/.336/.448 when temps are under 50 degrees.
3B Anthony Rendon, Nationals vs. Marlins ($2,800). Rendon hits 40 points higher against lefties and is at a nice discount today. He’s the quiet guy who could pop off for a big game today. I like him in GPPs.
SS Corey Seager, Dodgers at Giants ($3,700). Seager has started off hot, going 5-for-14 (.357) with two doubles and an RBI. He’s the pivot for those fading/replacing Carlos Correa today.

OF Yasiel Puig, Dodgers at Giants ($3,500). Puig is hitting .600 with six runs scored and four RBIs already. One thing we know about Puig is to ride him while he is hot and that is exactly what I am doing today.
OF Jacoby Ellsbury, Yankees vs. Astros ($3,200). Those of you who are new to the Playbook will soon realize that Ellsbury always grades out high in my model. This happens mostly when he gets a power bump with Yankee Stadium, flyball pitchers and wind. He gets all three today, so hopefully this game won’t get rained out.
OF Michael Taylor, Nationals vs. Marlins ($2,200). Taylor will be in CF and hit leadoff for the Nats again. He hits better against LHPs and has a great blend of power and speed that can pay off big in DFS.
