First look: MLB’s new ads starring Kris Bryant, Andrew McCutchen
Even long-time St. Louis Cardinals fans might have a tough time hating the Chicago Cubs this season. The team is expected to be among the best in the majors, and is full of young and entertaining players with the personalities to match.

The two biggest threats in the Cubs lineup also happen to be forming one of the best bromances around the game. Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant have already affectionately named themselves “Bryzzo,” and you get the sense that these two will remain good friends long after baseball is done.
already released spots including Bryce Harper, Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa and the World Series champion Kansas City Royals.
The “Bryzzo” ad is one is one of 10 that MLB is debuting before opening day that features a variety of its young stars. The league hasToday, we’re giving you the first look at four more: The Bryant/Rizzo ad, another featuring Pirates star Andrew McCutchen plus ads with sluggers Giancarlo Stanton and Paul Goldschmidt.

The Bryzzo ad above is the most memorable, as it taps into the unique relationship between the two players. You see, when Rizzo and Bryant aren’t working together to mash dingers on the field, they are working together selling those home run balls off the field. “We put the ‘ding’ in dingers” may be the slogan for Bryzzo’s business in the commercial, but we’re guessing it might catch on with Cubs fans this season.
Here are the others you’re getting a first look at on Yahoo Sports:
• McCutchen represents the Pittsburgh Pirates in a humous spot in which he interacts with Humpty Dumpty. The Gold Glove-winning McCutchen attempts to convince Humpty Dumpty that he’ll catch him if he jumps down from the wall. The giant egg man remains skeptical, leading to a fantastic exchange at the end of the commercial.
• Stanton’s ad is like Harper in that it includes him interacting with Little Leaguers. In this one, the Marlins slugger plays a Herculean role as the kids try to beat him in tug of war. You know that isn’t happening, but the kids tried their best.
• Paul Goldschmidt plays the strong, silent type in his ad, which is Western themed and may even remind you of “Breaking Bad” a bit because of it’s Southwest desert landscape. But Goldy can do something Walter White never did — make fire appear with his mind. Maybe he’s actually a Jedi?

All the spots, which were created by Anomaly, MLB’s multimedia creative marketing agency, can be viewed at MLB.com/THIS. There are still ads to come featuring Mike Trout, David Price and Felix Hernandez. The entire campaign will make its on-air debut during opening night and opening day, so expect to see them quite a bit.
