Cubs fan enlists the help of Kris Bryant to ask date to prom
simply show up on a doorstep with a bunch of flowers and expect to receive a “yes.” These days, you have to be unique. You have to be creative. You have to do something no one has ever thought of before.
Asking a date to prom has become quite the event. You can’t[Sign up for Fantasy Baseball | Play for $40K | Expert rankings | Mock draft ]
If you can’t do that, it doesn’t hurt to enlist the help of Chicago Cubs star third baseman Kris Bryant. One smart high schooler figured that one out recently. Vince, our high schooler in question, traveled down to Arizona for spring training with a plan: Get Bryant to help him invite his date to prom. The first part of his plan was accomplished.
Of course, the second part remained. Would Julia accept the invitation? When Kris Bryant is involved, you already know there was a happy ending.
We have to say, using Bryant as part of your prom invite is a bold choice. Bryant’s pretty dreamy, and you wouldn’t want your girl falling for him instead of you. We’re going to assume Vince worked out a deal with Bryant that ensured the major leaguer wore his shades, because one look into those sparkly eyes and Vince would have been lonely on prom night.

In the end, it all worked out. Thanks to Kris Bryant, Vince has a date to prom. With that out of the way, we’re left wondering how his schoolmates will up the ante with their prom invites. Will one get the White Sox to spell out “will you go to prom with me” as they are announced on opening day? Will another get Alex Gordon to hit a home run that already has that question written on it to his date on opening night? Will anyone involve Chris Archer? We hear he’s got some connections to the president now.
