The Astros-Braves game was postponed due to the apocalypse
It’s not often that Mother Nature imposes her will on spring training. When she does though, her presence is most definitely felt.

Seriously though, you have to check out some of these images that were captured at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports. For a few minutes anyway, it really did look like the end might be near.
Though the storm packed what appeared to be a powerful punch, life and baseball will go on. Thankfully.
Unfortunately for the Braves though, Mother Nature did force the cancellation of their other split squad game against the Detroit Tigers.

It was actually a pretty active weather week in baseball, with nine games cancelled in total. That included an Angels exhibition game in Utah against their Triple A team that was postponed due to snow.
Here’s hoping we’ll have much better weather when baseball season opens on April 3.
