Former NHL goalie Mathieu Garon finds stolen mask on eBay
During Mathieu Garon’s two years with the Los Angeles Kings right out of the 2004-05 lockout, he had a neat mask that went with the team’s purple jersey scheme. It was a cool design, one that might catch your eye if you were scouring eBay.

That’s either what Garon or someone he knows was doing as he found the mask on the auction site for sale. It had been a while since he’d seen it since, according to the former NHL netminder, it had been stolen when he was with LA.
$2,200? That’s reaching high, man.
Fortunately, this story might have a happy ending. The seller was alerted by Garon’s Tweets and sent him a message identifying himself and claiming he bought the mask on eBay having no idea of its backstory. He added he’d be happy to reunite the mask with its former owner.
But Garon being the good dude he is wasn’t upset and replied that he’d love to sign the mask if it would help in selling it.
All’s well that ends well.
