The Rangers new Wicked Pig sandwich tests how much you love pork
Rejoice, Texas Rangers fans! You no longer have to travel to one of Guy Fieri’s restaurants to satisfy your craving for funky, off-the-hook food. The Rangers will serve up the Wicked Pig sandwich this season, a meal that Mr. Fieri might refer to as “porktastic.”

In fact, “porktastic” might be underselling it. As you can see from the picture, which comes courtesy of the Dallas Morning News, this thing is a pork-lovers dream.
If there’s a part of the pig you can eat, it’s in this sandwich. There’s your standard pulled pork and bacon, but this monstrosity also contains sausage, ham and prosciutto. Oh, and we forgot that it’s topped with pork rinds.
As Homer Simpson once reminded us, all of those items come from one “wonderful, magical animal.”
If you haven’t fallen into a pork-induced coma just yet, we’ll gladly give you some more details. The Wicked Pig will be served on a Hawaiian bun (with an extra third bun in the middle) and will be topped with coleslaw and slathered in barbecue sauce. There’s no word on whether the coleslaw will be briefly dunked in bacon fat, or include tiny chunks of pork chops.
Fans willing to take on this sucker are going to have to be dedicated, because it’s going to cost $27. That’s a high price to pay for ballpark fare.

At the same time, true pork lovers won’t be deterred. In this instance, the money involved is nothing more than a mere number. For pork aficionados, the experience of consuming one of these wonders is priceless!
