Here are the special caps the Royals will wear on opening day
When you win the World Series, you’re afforded certain luxuries. For the Kansas City Royals, that includes special celebratory caps that they’ll wear for the first two games of their 2016 season.

These spiffy caps — made by New Era, of course — throw some gold in the Royals’ K.C. logo and add their World Series patch on the side. A cap fit for kings, you might say. The Royals will wear them for their April 3 opening night game against the New York Mets, then again on April 5, which is when they get their World Series rings.

Special caps like this for the World Series winner is a relatively new gesture by New Era, one that started in 2012 with the San Francisco Giants.

Want to get your Royals World Series crown? Well, they’re on sale starting today at the Royals team store and on MLB.com. They’ll be for sale on New Era’s site next week.
