Braves’ ballpark fare is wonderfully creative and insanely caloric
The Atlanta Braves might have the most absurdly wonderful selection of food options in the major leagues in what will be the team’s final year at Turner Field this season.
Of course, that depends on your tastes, how hungry you are and that you don’t mind getting a week’s worth of cholesterol in one meal. The Braves aren’t expected to send fans home with the satisfied smiles that come from wins very often this season, but they obviously don’t want people going hungry.

Atlanta has a new concession partner. Delaware North Sportservice has come up with some amazing new ballpark grub, some of which will cost a pretty penny. So a fan might not want to risk eating at their seat if they’re sitting in foul territory where it’s possible to lose your $26 Burgerizza when a Freddie Freeman foul ball comes screaming in your direction.
The aforementioned Burgerizza is just one of the over-the-top options to be served at various spots around Turner Field. It’s 20 ounces of beef, topped with five slices of cheddar, yummy bacon and served between two eight-inch pepperoni pizzas. It sounds like something a college freshman might be eating at 2 a.m. on a Saturday night.
The T.E.D is a perfectly named take on the traditional ballpark hotdog while being far from traditional. Its name is a tribute to owner Ted Turner while also serving as an acronym, (The Everything Dog). It features a foot-long hotdog on a pretzel bun, covered with fries, chili, beer cheese, tortilla chips, popcorn and a Coca-Cola-infused barbecue sauce. It will set you back $15.

The Punisher is a mound of smoked rib meat in a Monster energy drink-infused BBQ sauce, topped with onion rings. It it served on a Hawaiian bun with two pieces of candied bacon on top for $18.
There are some items on the menu that won’t worry your doctor such as the Cumberland Farm Wrap, which comes in a wheat tortilla with grilled vegetables, diced tomatoes, arugula and a balsamic aioli.
If this is what they’re serving in the final year in the old ballpark, just imagine what the Braves might try a year from now in new digs.
