Phillies minor-league team to wear cheesesteak caps and jerseys
The cheesesteak, the pride of Philadelphia, a delicious treat that unlike Ryan Howard, you can always count on. For one night this season, the cheesesteak is also becoming a baseball team.

The Philadelphia Phillies’ Triple-A team, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, has announced it will play its July 10 game as the Cheesesteaks, a nod to its big-league brethren, for what’s being called a “Salute to Philly Night.”
The best part of this is the caps and jerseys the team will wear. Have a look:
Gorgeous … and gooey. The IronPigs previously have worn caps with bacon on them, so the food thing isn’t new to them.
This seems like a response to the Fresno Grizzlies — the Houston Astros’ Triple-A team — changing its name to the Fresno Tacos last season and wearing taco caps and jerseys. Those went viral, and that seems to be the goal here too.
Cheesesteaks? Tacos? It’s like the East Coast-West Coast battle of food-themed baseball caps. If only Tupac and Biggie were still with us to pick a side in this battle. We’re pretty sure Biggie would be a cheesesteak guy (we know he likes a T-bone and cheese eggs). You think Tupac liked tacos?
Some questions will just never be answered.
