Durant says elbow OK, to play vs. Rockets
OKLAHOMA CITY — Kevin Durant, after missing practice Monday with a sore right elbow, said he will be available to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday against the Houston Rockets.
“I’m fine,” Durant said. “I’ll be fine.”
Durant banged his elbow in the fourth quarter Saturday against the Indiana Pacers in Oklahoma City’s 115-111 win. Durant blocked Paul George‘s layup attempt against the backboard but was inadvertently undercut by teammate Randy Foye.
Thunder coach Billy Donovan said Durant had his elbow checked and there was no structural damage, just discomfort after the hard fall.
Durant, 27, is averaging 28.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 63 games this season.
