NCAA 2016 men’s hockey tournament bracket drops
The bracket for that other March Madness dropped on Sunday, as the NCAA Div. I men’s ice hockey tournament draw was revealed.
Here’s a look at the Road To Tampa Bay, which still sounds weird even if the Frozen Four is going to be an awesome event down there:
The final brackets match the final bracket projections of College Hockey News, which included the prediction that there would be six Hockey East teams in the tournament and that Notre Dame and Michigan would be paired in the Cincinnati region for “attendance reasons.”
The winner of that game will face the winner of North Dakota and the Cinderella Northeastern squad that the seeding really, really set up as an underdog. (Seriously, to start that badly and finish that strongly is incredible.)
We’ll have a full preview of the tournament and predictions this week from Ryan Lambert. Should be an outstanding tournament.
