The case of Carlos Correa, LeBron James and the mysterious foot
Just when you thought March couldn’t get any weirder, Houston Astros star shortstop Carlos Correa posted a photo of himself hanging out with LeBron James.
The fact that Correa was even hanging out with LeBron isn’t the weird part at all. The NBA superstar always seems to be accommodating to other star athletes. And Correa has been quick to earn the respect of his peers in the sporting landscape. It was really only a matter of time before these two came together, and that moment came Friday night after Cleveland’s 109-103 victory in Orlando.

No, the weird part actually lurks behind them, in the form of a foot that seems completely out of place.
If you weren’t expecting it, that would be a pretty startling discovery. Fortunately, we warned you, and because of that you probably also spotted the bare leg that’s positioned behind Correa’s left hand.
We don’t know who that foot and leg belong to, but at least we know they belong to someone. We can safely narrow the list of candidates to one of LeBron’s teammates with the Cavaliers. And we can also safely assume he’s not wearing a lot of clothing, so it’s probably a good thing Correa is standing where he is.

Perhaps this photo highlights the general awkwardness of a professional sports clubhouse and/or locker room, which ties into the general awkwardness of the Adam LaRoche-White Sox saga. Perhaps it’s just an oddly timed photo that only two of the three captured (that doesn’t include the photographer) were aware of. We haven’t decided yet which is true, if either, but we can definitely categorize it as weird.
