He has won 15 of his last 17 decisions going 15-1-1 in the process. With the win the Ducks kept pace with the Pacific Division leading Los Angeles Kings. The Ducks have 87 points and the Kings have 91.
No. 2 Star: Cam Talbot, Edmonton Oilers
Stopped 40 of 40 shots on goal in a 2-0 win over the Canucks. The shutout was Talbot’s third of the season and helped him improve to 19-24-4. Talbot has a 2.50 goal-against average and .919 save percentage. He is 6-0-0 when facing 40-or-more shots on goal.
No. 3 Star: Scott Darling, Chicago Blackhawks
Chicago’s backup goaltender helped stopped the team’s four-game losing streak with 28 saves in a 4-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets. Chicago moved to 90 points on the year, five ahead of the Nashville Predators for third place in the Pacific Division. The shutout was the second of Darling’s career.
