City get PSG in Champions League quarters
Manchester City will face Chelsea’s conquerors Paris Saint-Germain in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
The Premier League’s only remaining representatives in Europe’s elite club competition will travel to the Parc des Princes for the first leg on either April 5 or 6, with the return fixture at the Etihad the following week. The two teams have met only once previously, in the 2008-09 UEFA Cup, when they drew 0-0.
Holders Barcelona, who knocked Arsenal out earlier this week, face an all-Spanish affair against Atletico Madrid.
Barca, who were eliminated by Atletico at the same stage in the 2013-14 season, are seeking to become the first ever team to retain the Champions League after last season’s Treble.
Real Madrid have been handed a favourable draw against Wolfsburg, currently mid-table in the Bundesliga, after the German side beat Gent in the previous round.
Bayern Munich will take on Benfica after their dramatic victory over last season’s beaten finalists Juventus in the round of 16.
