Jerrell Freeman tees off on former Colts teammate Colby Fleener
Neither of them are Indianapolis Colts anymore, but after hearing this … were they ever on the same team?
Linebacker Jerrell Freeman is known for his hitting ability, so it’s not stunning that he delivered a decleater on former Colts tight end Colby Fleener, who last week after signing with the New Orleans Saints said that several of his former Colts teammates “went along for the ride” last season amid Super Bowl predicitions.
Freeman, after signing with the Chicago Bears, lit into Fleener to WTHR’s Bob Kravitz, via text:
“Fleener, he didn’t have the [guts],’’ Freeman wrote. “That [bleep] pisses me off. And he must’ve been looking in the mirror when he did the interview.
“I despise guys like that. That’s what little girls do, talk about you when you’re not around. I’m a grown man. If I see something I don’t like, I’m going to go have a face-to-face convo with that player/players and we are going to get an understanding! I feel like I had a hand in building what’s over there [in Indianapolis], so he’s [bleeping] on me, too.”
Many of the words in brackets — not “in Indianapolis” but almost everything else — was some nice scrubbung done by Kravitz for his audience. Meaning, Freeman dropped some unsavory bombs on his former teammate.
There was more.
“That’s a bitch move,” Freeman continued. “You can print all that, brotha!’’
Consider it printed.
The Bears don’t play the Saints this regular season, so we’re not certain when the conversation with said player will take place. Rats.
But the Bears do play the Colts, though, so Freeman will have a chance to see his former team. But not his former beloved teammate who called out said team.
