Donald Trump gets the all-important Pete Rose endorsement
As he prepares for Tuesday’s presidential primary in Ohio, GOP frontrunner Donald Trump pulled another trick out of his sleeve Sunday. Trump has apparently earned the endorsement of baseball’s Hit King, the ever-controversial Pete Rose.

Not just any endorsement either. Trump tweeted a signed baseball from Rose complete with Trump’s slogan: “Make America Great Again.” Because what’s a proclamation from Rose without an autograph to go with it?
Just received from @PeteRose_14.

The Big Orange Machine and one part of the Big Red Machine — talk about a dynamic duo. They’re both revered by comment sections far, and both have candidacies (one for the Hall of Fame, the other for the Oval Office) that are as polarizing as can be. Rose, of course, is banned from baseball for life and thus, ineligible for the Hall of Fame. His recent appeal for reinstatement was denied by Commissioner Rob Manfred.
Trump, who has stumped before to get Rose into Cooperstown, was at it again Sunday. During a campaign stop near Cincinnati, he told the crowd what they wanted to hear.
“We’ve got to let Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame.” -Trump @WCPO

Before any Rose supporters get too excited and rush to vote for Trump, you should know that the President of the United States doesn’t have any authority over the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Unless Trumps gets elected and wants to change that too.
