In latest blog, Woods reiterates ‘no timetable’ for his return
People keep asking, and Tiger Woods’ answer remains the same.
In another blog post on his website on Friday, the 14-time major champion again reiterated that his return to competitive golf is not imminent.
“Health-wise, I continue to improve,” Woods wrote to conclude his post. “I’m working hard on my short game at my outdoor practice facility and on my indoor Full Swing golf simulator. Still no timetable on my return, but I’m excited to get back out there with the guys.”
Depending on which corner of social media you’re in at any given time, there are several rumors about Woods’ return to golf, with the expectation that it’s soon. We know for certain Woods will not play in next week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, as he did not commit at the Friday deadline.
The other highlight of Woods’ post was what he revealed about the dinner Jack and Barbara Nicklaus hosted for potential 2016 U.S. Ryder Cup players during the week of The Honda Classic. Woods said he got there among the early birds and spoke with Nicklaus about “fishing and how I’m progressing.”
Woods, who has been named as an assistant captain for Davis Love III ahead of the September matches at Hazeltine National in Minnesota, thought the dinner was “a great idea and brought a lot of guys closer.”
