Former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott arrested for DUI
Former Mississippi State quarterback and NFL draft prospect Dak Prescott was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with driving under the influence, according to the Clarion-Ledger.
Starkville Police Chief Frank Nichols confirmed that Prescott’s arrest happened in Starkville, Miss, when police pulled over Prescott in a white 2016 Cadillac Escalade.

Prescott hosted a camp thereafter on Saturday morning, one that was attended by more than 200 children.
Prescott had his pro day at Mississippi State on Thursday, which was attended by 30 of the 32 NFL teams, trying to carry over the positive momentum he had gained with NFL scouts at the Senior Bowl and the NFL scouting combine. Pro Sports Management, which represents Prescott, refused comment to the Clarion-Ledger on the arrest.
Shutdown Corner listed Prescott as one of the combine winners with his positive interviews with NFL teams. Prescott owns 38 school records for football with the Bulldogs and completed his master’s degree from the school in December.
NFL scouts can’t be happy to hear this news. To the league, it shows poor judgment that less than two months before the draft a highly touted prospect, who could be as high as a second-round pick, would make such a poor decision.
That said, former Mizzou defensive end Shane Ray was arrested for possession of marijuana three days before the 2015 draft and still was a late first-round pick of the Denver Broncos.
