Royals find Tim Lincecum’s secret throwing spot, are asked to leave
Spring training games have been going for over a week now and Tim Lincecum is still nowhere to be found. Unless, of course, you’re the Kansas City Royals.
Lincecum, who underwent hip surgery in September, remains unsigned with opening day less than a month away, and has yet to hold his much anticipated showcase, which was originally expected to take place in January. There’s interest out there: Lincecum’s agent said at least major-league 20 teams have requested medical information on the 31-year-old right-hander, while everyone waits to watch him pitch again.

At least one team simply couldn’t wait any longer. According to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, Kansas City Royals scouts stumbled upon where Lincecum is throwing in Arizona, but were swiftly asked to leave. Lincecum’s condition shall remain beneath a shroud of secrecy!

Lincecum wil soon allow any and all scouts to come out when he’s ready to show them what he has left. The last time Lincecum had an ERA below 4.00 was 2011, and while it’s unlikely he returns to his peak when he won back-to-back Cy Young awards, there’s bound to be one team that believes they can get the best out of Lincecum.
