Mikaela Shiffrin left her rivals in awe after a stunning first run that gave her a 1.67-second lead in a women’s World Cup slalom on Sunday. Shiffrin led home crowd favorite Veronika Velez-Zuzulova by 1.67 seconds. Another Slovakian racer, Petra Vlhova, shared third with Wendy Holdener of Switzerland, 1.88 behind.
