Watch Radko Gudas score on Blue Jackets from center ice (Video)
Radko Gudas doesn’t score a lot. The Philadelphia Flyers defenseman is known for dishing out big hits, many of which are borderline suspendable. So when Gudas does net a goal, it’s kind of a big deal.

During Saturday night’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Gudas increased his career goal total to eight with a bomb from center ice against Curtis McElhinney.
You might be saying to yourself, “Hey, I seem to recall long-distance goals against being a Blue Jackets thing this season.” Well, you’d be correct. Columbus has allowed two other goals from far out just in the last two months, with goaltender Joonas Korpisalo as the victim on both occasions.
In January, it was P.K. Subban. Last month, David Legwand was a lucky recipient.
Coaches always say good things happen when you put the puck on net, right? If you’re facing Columbus and possess the puck from outside the offensive zone, why not take a chance?
