No. 1 Star: Antti Raanta, New York Rangers
Starting in relief of Henrik Lundqvist, Raanta made 32 saves to beat the Washington Capitals. This is the 7 win on the season for Raanta. He gets the first star because he gave the best post-game quote.
No. 2 Star: Valeri Nichushkin, Dallas Stars
Happy birthday to the young forward. His goal and assist helped snap the Stars out of a four game losing skid by beating the New Jersey Devils 4-2.
No. 3 Star: David Savard, Columbus Blue Jackets
The defenseman scored his second and third goals of the season as the Blue Jackets beat the Oilers in a really strange 6-3 game.

Honorable Mention: The game between Columbus and the Edmonton Oilers was really weird. The Oilers scored three goals after each goal they scored, Columbus answered back within seconds. First Edmonton goal, the Blue Jackets score 10 seconds later. Second goal, answered 43 seconds later. Third goal, a goal 35 seconds later for Columbus. Here are the highlights of the game:
… Adam Henrique and Jason Spezza both earned their 23 goal of the season. Devante Smith-Pelly brought the Devils within a goal of Dallas on his second goal in his second game with the team. Vernon Fiddler scored goal No. 100 of his NHL career on a shorthanded, empty-netter … Derek Stepan and Ryan McDonagh had 2 points each. Both Washington goals were unassisted. Jay Beagle scored one and T.J. Oshie netted the other on the power play to tie the game:

Per Mike Heika, he is expected to be out ‘short-term.’ Cory Schneider made a save in the third period that appeared to tweak his groin. He left the game and was replaced by Keith Kinkaid. No update on his status at the time of writing.
