Bryce Harper has the balance and power of a ninja
We already knew Bryce Harper was an elite athlete capable of unbelievable feats of strength and explosiveness. But he’s taken things to a new level this time.
Early Friday morning, Harper posted an Instagram video showing the world how he uses an exercise ball to work on his balance and core strength at the gym. And yes, it’s pretty ridiculous.
“Extremes are easy, Strive for balance” is the caption the 23-year-old superstar used for this video.

This exercise is certainly extreme, but it’s far from easy, because exercise balls aren’t meant for standing. They’re round, they’re slippery and they roll rather easily. In fact, for some of us they’re difficult enough to navigate for their intended use, let alone something on this level.
Harper isn’t one of us though. He’s a super ninja disguised as a baseball player. He not only stands and balances on exercise balls, he performs squats on them and apparently never loses his balance in the process. He’s a freak of athletic nature, and that’s meant in the most complimentary way possible.
Of course, we’re sure that doesn’t make Washington Nationals officials feel very comfortable. One look at this video probably has them imagining the worst. But nothing’s going to stop Bryce Harper from doing his thing in the gym. And as long as he’s able to keep his balance, nothing’s going to stop him from dominating Major League Baseball.
