Padres pose with adorable puppies at team photo day
As you probably already know, Major League Baseball players are never ones to shy away from the camera. But just in case you didn’t know or somehow forgot it during the offseason, we’re reminded again every spring when teams gather for photo day.
Photo day is a highly anticipated day now. Perhaps even more so than the first spring games to some people. That’s because we never quite know what we’ll see in terms of creative and even awkward photos. There are always a handful of true gems to be seen, and this year most of those gems were provided by the San Diego Padres.

Why you ask?
It’s simple, they brought puppies!
Granted, those puppies look like they’re dressed more for a Christmas photo shoot, but nonetheless puppies make everything better. And they were everywhere.
Of course, Padres players did take a few more serious photos. Like this one from pitcher Cory Mazzoni.
But we’re really just here for the pups.
Well done, Padres.
And good news, baseball fans. Photo day also means that actual games are right around the corner. It means that within days, the players won’t be wearing their uniforms just for show, they’ll be wearing them in game action and hopefully getting them a little dirty.
