Brewers prospect Brett Phillips has the best laugh in baseball
Spring training is in full swing now and just about everybody who loves baseball is in a good mood as a result. That’s even true of the players, and especially so for the first-timers at big league camp, which is the category Milwaukee Brewers prospect Brett Phillips falls under.

Actually, a “good mood” doesn’t accurately describe Phillips’ happy disposition so far at Brewers camp. You know the running joke about players coming to camp in the “best shape of their life?” Well, Phillips is quite possibly in the “best mood of his life,” and that comes through in an infectious laugh that has to be heard to be believed.
That was Phillips priceless reaction to his Brewers teammates attempting to distract him at the team’s photo day. Needless to say, it worked, and his teammates knew it would work, because once Phillips starts laughing, he can’t stop.
And no, this wasn’t just a one time thing caught on camera. It’s the norm for Phillips.
Phillips has a lot to be giddy about too, and that goes beyond simply having an opportunity in camp. Phillips was brought into the Brewers fold last season as part of the Carlos Gomez trade with the Houston Astros. That indicates they have high hopes for him, and those hopes are reflected in his ranking as baseball’s No. 57 prospect according to MLB.com.
He’s a good player with a potentially great future in baseball. More importantly though, he seems like a fun guy to be around, which can come in handy during a 162-game season. He’s someone a lot of people will be rooting for and hopefully laughing with as his career progresses.
