After dropping 51, Steph gives game-worn shoes to fan for birthday
It’s hard to top a 51-point, 10-3-pointer, eight-assist, seven-rebound explosion that sets a new NBA record for consecutive games with a made 3 and improves your team to an unthinkable 52-5, but Stephen Curry found a pretty cool way to try.
After Thursday’s win over the Orlando Magic, the Golden State Warriors superstar caught a glimpse of a young fan holding a sign proclaiming that it was his birthday and asking the NBA’s reigning Most Valuable Player if he could have his sneakers as a present. Before he exited the court, Steph took off the kicks in which he’d just torched the Magic and directed that they be given to the fan:

That’s one heck of a gift for the young fella, who apparently paid his own way to Amway Center and left with the souvenir of a lifetime:

The lesson, as always, kids: shoot your shot, especially on your birthday. You never know what kind of remarkable swag you could score.
