The Lance Stephenson era in Memphis is off to a hilarious start
The Memphis Grizzlies’ trade-deadline acquisition of Lance Stephenson stood out as one of the bolder moves of the day. After losing Marc Gasol for the season to a foot injury, the Grizzlies hope that a versatile talent with an occasionally difficult personality can find stability in an organization in which such players seem to thrive. It is far too early to judge if Lance will find a home in the Grindhouse. What we do know, though, is that he will offer up his usually high number of hilarious moments on the court. Jokes aside, it was actually a reasonably solid game for Stephenson, who put up eight points and four rebounds in a 128-119 win. He now has 24 points (9-of-17 FG), seven rebounds, three assists, and two turnovers in 45 minutes over his first two appearances as a Grizzly.
