Spring camps may be open, and players may have reported, but games haven’t begun just yet. That means we’ve reached the point of the baseball offseason where wackiness abounds.

It’s that special time where a player showing up in camp in a crazy car, or with weird facial hair, can dominate the news cycle.
For the most part, those stories are harmless fun. That said, the strangest thing to happen thus far this spring may have major implications that impact multiple teams.
After it appeared he was signing with the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, outfielder Dexter Fowler shocked the baseball world by inking a one-year deal with the Chicago Cubs on Thursday. In doing so, he became the focus on this week’s StewPod.
On this week’s edition of the podcast, Chris and Mike banter about the Fowler fallout. Has anything like this ever happened before? Who’s to blame? How will the move impact both the Cubs and Orioles? On top of that, Bad News Ramen returns for his three strikes segment, and the important question combines baseball with Kanye West.
A full rundown of the show:
• It’s time for wacky spring training stories
• Dexter Fowler signed with the Cubs? What the heck happened here?
• Is this a good move for Chicago? How much does it hurt the Orioles?
• Who’s to blame for the erroneous reports? Is it the media?
• Casey Close takes the Orioles to task
