Our DFS sleeper picks for Wednesday evening hail from three of the top conferences in the nation. The Pac-12, Big Ten and Big East are all represented in the list below with one particular matchup on the West Coast providing a couple of value options.
The following players, consisting of three forwards and two guards who each hold a price tag of $6,500 or less, are not necessarily a group that should all be on a single roster, but rather suggestions that have the potential to outperform their respective low costs. As we always say, getting a few sleepers like this is a necessary strategy for FanDuel contests.
MORE DFS: Play FanDuel
Luke Fischer, F, Marquette at Creighton ($6,400)
Fischer has been on a roll for the Golden Eagles. The 6-11 center has gone north of 20.0 FanDuel points in each of the past five games, averaging 13.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks while shooting 57.4 percent from the field. Fischer put up 12 points, six boards and two blocks against Creighton back on Feb. 13 and could be in for another solid effort.
Mark Donnal, F, Michigan vs. Northwestern ($5,800)
Donnal has stepped up in a big way for the Wolverines over the past two games. The junior contributed 17 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes at Ohio State back on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Donnal followed that up by going for 25 points, five boards and five blocks at Maryland this past Sunday.
Jordan Bell, F, Oregon vs. Washington State ($5,500)
The all-around production that Bell offers does not seem that significant at first glance, but as it pertains to DFS value, a closer look is needed. Over the past six games, the freshman forward has averaged 7.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks while shooting an impressive 61.5 percent from the field. Those numbers have resulted in 19.2 FanDuel points per contest.
Bronson Koenig, G, Wisconsin at Iowa ($5,700)
An integral part of last season’s Final Four team, Koenig is one of the leaders for Wisconsin now. The third-year guard has scored at least 11 points in each of the Badgers’ past six games, averaging 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 treys and 2.3 assists overall during that stretch.
Que Johnson, G, Washington State at Oregon ($5,300)
Johnson could certainly deliver the most bang for the buck Wednesday night. The redshirt junior has averaged 17.3 points and 3.5 rebounds over the past four games, translating to 23.2 FanDuel points per contest. Johnson has played a minimum of 28 minutes in each game of that stretch and should continue to see plenty of playing time with teammate Charles Callison (concussion) out of action.
