Yoenis Cespedes’ car confirms he’s the Mets’ real Dark Knight
Step aside, New York Mets ace Matt Harvey. You may have gone by the nickname “The Dark Knight,” but we now know that was just a ruse. You can’t be Batman, because Batman drives a Batmobile. After Tuesday, we know that Harvey doesn’t own a Batmobile. That distinction belongs to his teammate Yoenis Cespedes.
While Cespedes’ ride has become the talk of camp, this is not the first time we’ve seen it. It’s also not the first ridiculous car he owns, that might be his fire-breathing Lamborghini.

So, let’s recap: Cespedes has a ridiculous amount of wealth, is in fantastic shape and drives a Batmobile. Does that sound anything like Bruce Wayne?
It brings us great pain to say this but, Matt Harvey, we’re sorry, you’re no longer Batman. You’re going to have to settle for being Robin. We know it’s a tough demotion, and you’ll try to talk us out of it, but we’re not going to bend like Terry Collins in Game 5.
If you’re lucky, maybe Yoenis will let you ride in his Batmobile occasionally.
Being Robin is important. Someone needs to call Commissioner Gordon on the BatPhone. It can’t be Batman, as the BatPhone pictured above is clearly not a hands-free device.

We’ll admit, Matt, we almost believed you were Batman for a while. Maybe we just wanted to believe it was true. But Cespedes’ car leaves no doubt. We’re not entirely sure how he’ll deal with his superhero alter-ego being exposed, but we hope it’s by hitting baseballs as hard as he punches evildoers.
