Austen Lane shares crazy questions combine prospects get from scouts
We’ve all stories about crazy, intimate, and just plain weird questions NFL prospects get from scouts and coaches during the run-up to the NFL draft, but maybe you’ve never gotten any specifics on what those questions are.
Well Austen Lane, a former defensive lineman for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions who now describes himself as a “BASE jumping, crocodile wrestling, shark diving, volcano luging, bear fighting, snake wrangling, motoX racer whose blood pressure is pretty solid” in his Twitter bio, is here to help.
Lane posted a string of tweets on Tuesday morning sharing some of the questions he got during his time at the 2010 combine, before the Jaguars picked him in the fifth round:
So there you have it. If you ever plan on being part of the NFL combine, in addition to getting poked, prodded, measured, weighed, and generally treated like a prize steer at the county fair, you’ll also be asked for your murder weapon of choice.
