Frank Kaminsky has challenged Kristaps Porzingis to a dance-off
On Friday, Sports Illustrated’s Kenny Ducey introduced us to some pretty wonderful video clips of New York Knicks rookie phenom Kristaps Porzingis dancing with teammates during his days with Sevilla of Spain’s ACB league. Here are the clips, in the event you should require instant shots of joy on this Monday:

(If you’d like to watch these clips set to more contemporary music, like “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” from Kanye West’s new album “The Life of Pablo” or Trey Songz’s “Mr. Steal Yo Girl,” please feel free to do so, with our compliments.)
Before too long, it seems, word of the 7-foot-3 Porzingis’ rug-cutting prowess made its way to the Charlotte Hornets’ team charter, inspiring fellow very large rookie Frank Kaminsky to issue a challenge:

Lest we forget, the former Wisconsin star’s got a full complement of moves himself:

The prospect of these two towering titans taking it to the floor in a battle for dance bragging rights is almost too much to bear. As luck would have it, the Hornets and Knicks are scheduled to meet one more time this season, on April 6 at Madison Square Garden. New York will be coming off two off-days, whereas the Hornets will be on the second night of a back-to-back after playing the Toronto Raptors; that travel schedule could make Kaminsky (or, at least, Hornets head coach Steve Clifford) less likely to make Frank the Tank available for a showdown. And yet, we continue to hope, because hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and because someone must be served.
