Now, granted: the Rockets had only employed him for about three hours, after receiving him along with a protected first-round pick in a deal that sent big man Donatas Motiejunas and reserve guard Marcus Thornton to the Detroit Pistons …
To be clearer: Anthony goes to Sixers through Houston, who acquired him from Detroit in 3-player trade. Rockets ship out second-round pick.

… but that doesn’t mean the 33-year-old veteran didn’t make an impact on the Rockets fanbase. Just check out this moving tribute to Anthony posted after his exit Thursday:
Truly touching stuff and, I think, a fitting tribute to all that Anthony contributed to the Rockets organization. If you want to share your favorite jogs down Joel Memory Lane, I suggest doing it in the Official Joel Anthony Appreciation Thread over at ClutchFans. It’s important to come together as a community in times like these. Weep not for the memories, y’all.
Hat-tip to r/NBA.
