Yankees reveal their secret: demand 100% effort from players
Expectations are high for players across Major League Baseball, but there’s a special kind of pressure and expectation that comes with wearing the New York Yankees’ famous pinstripes. After all, they are 27-time World Series champions and play under the bright lights in New York City.
So as the group intent on bringing home championship title No. 28 this season filtered into the clubhouse at the Yankees’ spring training facility Thursday, they were greeted by a sign on the door with detailed instructions on how exactly to uphold the franchise’s hallowed legacy.

Motivated professionals only! That should be enough to separate the winners from the losers. The best revelation is the request to look in the mirror and ask if you gave it your all: All of a sudden A-Rod’s infamous mirror picture makes much more sense.
The Yankees are in tough in the American League East going up against the revamped Red Sox and the still powerful Blue Jays for the division crown. If they do manage to finish above their rivals in the standings and get into the postseason, don’t forget about the sign posted on the door of the spring training clubhouse. Motivated professionals giving 100% is the first step toward winning the World Series.
