Alert your family: Pirates will wear 1970s throwbacks this season
Hot damn, the Pittsburgh Pirates are going to look good this season. So good, they’ll have fans singing “We-are-family” like it’s the 1970s.

If the Pirates — a good team in recent years that hasn’t been able to go on a real postseason run — can now match the 1979 team’s path to the World Series, well, that would really get people in Pittsburgh singing.
