Hornets acquire Lee from Grizzlies, sources say
The Memphis Grizzlies are trading guard Courtney Lee to the Charlotte Hornets in a three-team, multiplayer deal, sources told ESPN’s Chris Broussard.
Charlotte will send forward P.J. Hairston to Memphis and point guard Brian Roberts to the Miami Heat as part of the trade, sources said.
Yahoo! Sports earlier reported the deal, saying Miami will send forward Chris Andersen and two second-round picks to the Grizzlies as part of the trade.
Lee joins a Hornets team that currently sits eighth in the Eastern Conference at 27-26. He is averaging 10.0 points per game this season, his seventh in the league.
The moves comes with Charlotte forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist now out for the rest of the season after shoulder surgery.
