‘I Win My Way’: Cam Newton thanks Carolina Panthers fans
Cam Newton has been talked about more this week than the players from the Denver Broncos team that actually won Super Bowl 50.
Newton has been ripped up and down, from not diving on a fumble late in the game to a postgame press conference that was cut short to his “Show me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser” comment a couple days after the game. And through it all, the Carolina Panthers MVP quarterback has stayed the same. Many have tried to shame him into an apology, but that’s not going to happen.
As he said in an Instagram message on Friday thanking Panthers fans, Newton will stay true to himself.
This season has been an incredible journey and I want to thank PANTHERNAT1ON and all of the fans that iNSP1RED us to great achievements. iAMnøtPERFËCT and I will make mistakes but I will continue to work on improving each day trying toPERFECTallMYimPERFECT1ON. Pursuing greatness is my commitment, and I will continue to be TRÜ to myself, to my FAM1LY and to making all of YOÜ who follow me PROUD! iW1LL W1N… MY WAY… and hope to iNSP1REüALLtoW1N…. ürWAY! -1OVE

If you want to express a touch of defiance to the critics, wearing a “I Win My Way” shirt in front of a Muhammad Ali photo with Ali’s quite about coming back from being defeated is a good way to do it.
If you thought the barrage of criticism following Super Bowl 50 was going to make Newton change his personality, it appears you will be disappointed.
