White House menu for Super Bowl 50 includes ‘POTUS beer’
Like many Americans, President Obama and the First Lady are hosting a Super Bowl party to watch the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos, but they’re enjoying a pretty extensive menu – and unlike most of us, they won’t have to clean up afterward.
Via this tweet from CBS This Morning social media manager Kevin Prince (the Obamas recorded an interview for the network that aired during the pregame show), here is the menu for the night:
It includes foods representing both teams involved: Carolina pulled pork sliders and Southern fried chicken wings for the Panthers, and “Mile High Blitz” burger bites and German beer brats for the Broncos.
Hopefully the prep cooks got the garlic peeled in time. The biggest question, though, is right at the bottom: the POTUS beer. Is that just Obama’s favorite available-to-anyone label or a special brew crafted just for him?
