Last Minute Decisions: Injury Report: Super Bowl 50
Saturday, February 06, 2016
Super Bowl 50 is finally here, and the Rotoworld crew has all the information you need to impress everyone at the party. Graham Barfield goes position-by-position to diagnose the key statistics which could help decide the big game, the entire Rotoworld crew gives out their picks, and Evan Silva breaks down every matchup in his award-winning Matchups Column.
As for me, I am here to shed some light on the most important injury situations heading into the weekend. The sister resource to this column is the Rotoworld News Page, which will have every inactive and all the late-breaking news up to kickoff and beyond. I also occasionally tweet about football @RMSummerlin.
Panthers
*The favorites headed into the Super Bowl fortnight with two big injury questions, but it looks like both Thomas Davis (broken arm, probable) and Jared Allen (broken foot, probable) will play. Davis returned to a full practice Wednesday, just eight days after undergoing surgery to repair a broken forearm. Davis is expected to play his usual complement of snaps, but it will be interesting to see how his arm reacts to the first big collision. Allen was limited Wednesday, but he got in full sessions both Thursday and Friday. Mike Tolbert (knee, probable) is the only other Panther on the injury report.
Broncos
*Darian Stewart (sprained MCL) and T.J. Ward (ankle) were the biggest injury question marks for Denver, but both are listed as probable after getting in full practices Thursday and Friday. The duo will play a key role in stopping the Panthers’ multifaceted rushing attack. Louis Vasquez (knee) also got in a full practice Friday, and every Bronco is probable or better.
