Daily Fantasy College Basketball Strategy: FanDuel value picks for Saturday – Sporting News
The Big Ten comes into focus with our DFS sleepers for Saturday afternoon’s NCAA hoops schedule. One rivalry game in particular will provide a couple of bargain buys for daily fantasy college basketball contests, as you can be sure that players from both Michigan and Michigan State will be revved up for their in-state battle.
The following players, consisting of three forwards and two guards who each hold a price tag of $6,500 or less, are not necessarily a group that should all be on a single roster, but rather value picks that have the potential to outperform their respective low costs in FanDuel contests. Grabbing one or two is a good strategy to help you load up your roster with other studs.

Jaylen Bond, F, Temple at UCF ($6,300)
After missing a couple of games due to an ankle injury then coming off the bench in his return last Saturday, Bond definitely seemed to be back at full strength in Thursday’s overtime win against Tulsa. The senior played 28 minutes in the 83-79 victory, finishing with 13 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and a steal. Take advantage of Bond’s bargain price tag now, as it will likely head north soon.
Duncan Robinson, F, Michigan vs. Michigan State ($5,900)
Robinson scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds in this past Tuesday’s loss to Indiana, continuing a run of solid play over the past month. The sophomore swingman has scored double-digit points in six of the last eight games with a couple of nine-point outputs in the mix. Overall during that span, Robinson has put up per-game marks of 13.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 treys.
Deyonta Davis, F, Michigan State at Michigan ($5,900)
Davis is not typically among the top scorers for the Spartans, but he certainly makes an impact in the paint and around the rim on a regular basis. The 6-10 freshman has scored just 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field over the past two games; however, he has added 22 rebounds, eight blocks and four assists to that modest point total.
Mike Williams, G. Rutgers at Nebraska ($6,400)
Rutgers is in the midst of a dreadful 6-17 campaign and has dropped all 10 of their Big Ten matchups to this point, so it is understandable that Williams’ solid play of late has gone largely unnoticed. For DFS purposes, that makes the sophomore guard a true dark horse pick that is likely to have low ownership rates, especially in tournament fields. Williams has scored at least 15 points in each of the past four games while shooting an impressive 50.9 percent from the field overall and 9-of-25 from beyond the arc.
London Perrantes, G, Virginia at Pittsburgh ($6,300)
Perrantes contributed just five points and four assists in Virginia’s 61-47 win over Boston College this past Wednesday, but the Cavaliers did not necessarily need a big effort from him as they cruised over the cellar-dwelling Eagles. Over the previous five games, the junior guard put up better than 20.0 FanDuel points each time out, averaging 11.6 points, 5.0 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals during that stretch.
