I see a noticeable improvement in Manning’s play as he rounds into form after the time missed. I believe that their last two opponents’ defenses are underrated (NE and Pitt) especially their run D. Both teams ranked in the top 10 in yards per game and a quick glance at the Broncos’ schedule shows that four of their last five games came against teams with a top 10 ranked run defense. The run defense is the Panthers strength and with Denver proving that they can still run against elite units it certainly takes away Carolina’s edge. The Panthers offense led the league in scoring and some will think that their games against Seattle (2) and Arizona prove that they can score against anyone, but Seattle has some great scheduling (situational) and proved they were not the same defense of the past when they were lit up for 538 yards by the Steelers.
