Player Analysis: By The Numbers Week 24
Monday, February 01, 2016
After the FA cup break I finally have the chance to get a quick column out before Tuesday’s matches. I’m sure that most readers will be glad that this will mean a shorter diatribe this time. So, what do we know? Well, this week has the potential for some upsetting results although it’s unlikely. You see, the transfer window has just slammed shut and every new player needs a few weeks to get used to the new team and that’s if they go straight into the squad. So, the predictor could be a little out because they’re working on old data but I wouldn’t worry, they should be pretty close.
Predictor
Another week where the home teams all look to be good value with West Ham, Arsenal, Leicester and Everton being the strongest. This makes me think about drafting in both Payet and Sanchez especially as it looks like time to drop a certain Mr De Bruyne.
Poisson
Well three matches stand out as the most likely to produce goals, Norwich vs Tottenham, West Ham vs Villa and Leicester vs Liverpool. I actually couldn’t tell you who I like to win those matches even with Spurs long unbeaten away record. If I had to pick some players from this Poisson forecast I’d suggest Lukaku, Naismith, Vardy, Kane and Ighalo.
Sorry once again for such a short post, I’ll see you later in the week with a longer one.
