Mets minor-league team schedules ‘Netflix & Chill’ night
It wouldn’t be a minor-league baseball season without some wacky promotional nights. While most of the themed nights definitely hit the mark, there are always a few teams that find a way to miss the mark. The Binghamton Mets are definitely in the latter group for this idea.
Either the club is encouraging its fans to get … um … amorous in the ballpark, or the team has no idea what “Netflix & Chill” means. You see, “Netflix & Chill” is a term used by youngsters, you may call them Millennials, to describe being intimate with your partner while Netflix is on in the background.

This is actually not the first time we’ve seen this mixup in baseball. Toronto Blue Jays reliever Drew Storen unfortunately used the phrase when telling the media how he first learned he was traded.
We’re going to assume the Binghamton Mets aren’t telling fans to come out to their park in order to make whoopie. Instead, we’re guessing they intend to play some Netflix programs on their video board. Or something like that.
Honestly, we’re not sure, and we don’t intend to find out. Fans are allowed to love the game, and veterans can hang on “for love of the game,” but making love at an actual game, well, that’s just taking things too far.
