Luongo pitches shutout in shootout for the Eastern Conference win (Video)
Going into the final event of the night, the Eastern Conference held a 12-8 advantage over the Western Conference in the scoring. If the West wanted to make up ground on the East, they’d have to use the Discover NHL Shootout to do it.
Spoiler alert: The West doesn’t care.
Check out the Eastern Conference goaltenders giving it their all, making 26 of 28 saves, leading to the 29-12 domination of the Western Conference.
ROUND 1
Star of the Round: Roberto Luongo, Florida Panthers.
Luongo stopped all nine shots from the likes of Patrick Kane, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Matt Duchene. He was clearly in it to win it… or the West didn’t try to hard. You take a look.

ROUND 3
Star of the round: John Scott, THE PEOPLE’S CHAMPION.
Yeah, Scott didn’t score, but this was his moment. He loved it and the crowd loved him. He embraced the moment on his second goal, attempting the spin-o-rama. It’s illegal in the NHL shootout, but then again, so is Scott.
