John Scott destroys Jeremy Roenick on NBC interview (Video)
NASHVILLE – John Scott scored two goals in the Pacific Division’s opening game of the NHL All-Star Game 3-on-3 tournament. Which meant he gets the big interview on NBC.
Which meant Jeremy Roenick finally talked with John Scott.
To review: This would be the same Jeremy Roenick that said John Scott lacked class in not declining his spot in the All-Star Game after winning the fan vote. And the same Jeremy Roenick who called him classless for not stepping aside in favor of his Arizona Coyotes teammates, even after Scott said he asked them if he should and they told him to play.
The same Jeremy Roenick that said John Scott didn’t belong anywhere near the NHL All-Star Game, claiming – and you can’t make this up – that “he’ll be as out of place at the NHL All-Star Game “as the only white guy at the Million Man March.”
Yep.
So after Scott scored his first goal (and had a brief staged fight with Patrick Kane), Roenick interviewed Brent Burns of the San Jose Sharks and then turned to interview Scott. And this happened:
“It’s not the first time you’ve been wrong,” said Scott.
He obviously didn’t have time to add “this weekend.”
With all the great BBQ and hot chicken in Nashville, hopefully Roenick doesn’t spoil his appetite with all that crow.
