Neureuther holds big lead after 1st run of World Cup slalom (The Associated Press)
Felix Neureuther of Germany showed his old strength in slalom, building a commanding lead in the opening run of a men’s World Cup night race on Tuesday. Chasing his first win in more than a year, Neureuther led Stefano Gross of Italy by 0.53 seconds after a near-flawless run on the Planai course. Norway’s Henrik Kristoffersen, who won five of the six previous slaloms this season, was 1.10 behind in third.
